92 POINTS---ROBERT PARKER'S WINE ADVOCATE "The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino is a gorgeous, substantial wine laced with black cherries, plums, licorice, menthol, new leather and a streak of French oak. Floral notes appear in the glass, adding freshness, lift and balance to this dark, introspective wine. All of the elements flow together gracefully in this mid-weight, hugely delicious, expansive Brunello. I preferred the straight Brunello to the Lucere on both occasions I tasted the wines. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024."
